At Elbaite, we prioritize the security of our users’ accounts. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is a critical security feature that enhances account protection by requiring two forms of verification. This guide explains what 2FA is, how it works, and how to enable it on your Elbaite account.
What is 2FA?
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) requires two distinct forms of identification to access an account: something you know (your username and password) and something you have (a unique code generated by an app on your device). This significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access.
Benefits of Enabling 2FA
- Enhanced Security: Protects your account even if your password is compromised.
- Protection Against Cyber Crime: Adds an additional layer of security against threats.
- Peace of Mind: Provides confidence in managing your transactions and personal information.
How to Enable 2FA on Your Elbaite Account
- Sign In to Your Account: Log into your Elbaite account and navigate to the dashboard.
- Access Account Settings: Select "Account" from the bottom of the dashboard panel.
- Activate 2FA: Choose the 2FA option, read and confirm the disclaimer.
- Set Up Through Authenticator App:
- Scan the QR code with your preferred authenticator app.
- The app generates a new 6-digit code every 30 seconds for login.
- Complete Setup: Follow the prompts to finalize the setup without navigating away from the screen.
Important Note
Ensure you complete the 2FA setup without navigating away from the page to avoid being locked out of your account.
